As of January 2014, more than 22,000 Hispanics/Latinos and more than 8,800 Asians, Native Hawaiians, and other Pacific Islanders (ANHOPIs) were on the national transplant waiting list for a lifesaving organ transplant. While race is never considered in matching a donor organ to a recipient, it is essential that blood types be compatible. Since certain blood types are found more often in some ethnicities than others, it is important to have donors from all ethnic backgrounds for a diverse donor pool.

You can help us increase the number of Hispanic/Latino and AHNOPI people who are signed up to be organ donors by sharing one of the banners below.
