suffer significantly from liver disease and are 3 times as likely as Caucasians to develop kidney disease, increasing the risk of organ failure. Asians, and Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islanders are 7.5% of those waiting for an organ transplant and 3% of all organ donors.
